Philly Cheese Steak Pizza

It seems as though there is always a good excuse to skip making dinner and go pick up some takeout. One of my resolutions for this year is to not give into excuses and to recommit to making homemade meals.   I'm a big fan of quick and easy meal solutions. This Philly cheese steak pizza takes very little effort and is ready from start to finish in less than 15 minutes.

This Philly Cheese Steak Pizza is a quick and easy recipe that makes recommitting to homemade meals a cinch! #AD #BeyondTheSandwich

Alfredo Sauce

I love a good sauce.  Alfredo sauce combines some of my absolute favorite things: butter, heavy cream, and cheese.   It's one of the most decadent sauces you can eat, so I try not to indulge too often.... but when I do, it's magical.  So, it's kind of funny that making Alfredo sauce is so simple and hardly takes any time at all.

The way that I make my Alfredo Sauce only requires 5 ingredients: butter, flour, milk, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese.

Poached Eggs on Avocado Toast

I love eggs.  I love them scrambled, hard boiled, soft boiled, over easy ..., but my favorite are poached eggs.  Pure deliciousness!  But add yummy toast, avocado, and tomatoes and it's breakfast heaven.

I'm notorious for skipping breakfast.  I'm not really sure why I constantly skip breakfast, but for some reason, I do.  I was looking over my Pinterest account the other day and realized I have close to 300 pins just on breakfast alone.

Blood Orange, Berry, and Feta Cheese Salad

Lots of salad in our near future.

One day last month I realized I gone almost 2 weeks without eating any fresh fruits or veggies.  Well, expect for potatoes. But they were mashed and loaded with butter, cheese, and heavy that probably doesn't count.

Bruléed Grapefruit

I overindulged this holiday season.  Like, a ridiculous amount.  Pretty much since Halloween I've been stuffing my face with every cookie, cake, chocolate, and candy that I see and washing them down with a big cup of sugar laced coffee.  Hello, my name is Jordan, and I'm a sugar addict.

Bruléed grapefruit is a super easy way to add some elegance to your lazy Sunday brunch.... or hectic Tuesday morning breakfast | Jordan's Onion

It hasn't always been that way though.  Even though I enjoyed the occasional sweet treat as a kid and through my early 20's, I didn't crave sugar the way that I do now.  I don't know why, but about 10 years ago, it's like my sweet tooth was activated.  Sometimes, I'll even dream about fudge and ice cream.

DIY Christmas Rosettes and Family Movie Night

Christmas vacation has officially started!  That means that the kids and I will be baking up a storm and making a lot of handmade gifts over the next few days.  We'll also be doing a lot of snuggling up to watch family Christmas movies.  We decided to start off our fun with some Christmas decorating.

Dinosaur Birthday Party

*This post contains affiliate links

Last week both of my little boys had their birthdays.  Yup, December is a super busy month for us LOL.  So, Christian has already had a dinosaur birthday party, but that was before Dylan was born.  Dinosaurs are Dylan's favorite!  Since they both love dinosaurs, I decided to throw another dinosaur themed birthday party.

I knew I wanted to have murals on 2 of my walls for this party.  I wanted them both to look prehistoric and take up most of the wall.  For both murals I started off with a light blue plastic table cloth for the sky.   Then I crumpled up brown shipping paper to make a volcano, waterfall and tree trunks.
